Dimapur, March 25 (EMN): A free medical camp organised by Indian Red Cross Society, Wokha Unit, was held at Wozhuro town on March 25. The team was led Deputy Commissioner and Chairman Red Cross Society Wokha unit, Wezope Kenye, and accompanied by Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintend Wokha and other officials.
Ten doctors from District Hospital, Wokha, conducted the medical camp. Around 160 patients from Phiro, Shaki, Sankitong, Totsu and Merayan village availed the free medical camp. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients. Meanwhile, district administration, Chief Medical Officer and Red Cross Society Wokha Unit thanked the Deputy Controller of Drugs Dr. Thungchanbeni Kikon for providing free medicine during the camp.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that such type of camps will continue in other areas in the district in future.
Public of Wozhuro range, comprising of five villages, expressed gratitude to the DC and Indian Red Cross Society, Wokha Unit, and the entire team of doctors for conducting the free medical camp in the area.
