WVEE and CMO Wokha organised a free health camp in Wokha village, offering check-ups, screenings, medicines and CMHIS registration.
DIMAPUR — Wokha Village Eloe Ekhung (WVEE), in collaboration with the Department of Health & Family Welfare under the chief medical officer (CMO), Wokha, organised a free health camp at PM Shri Government High School, Wokha village, on July 18.
Delivering the welcome address, Head GB of Wokha village, Vandan Erui, welcomed the medical officers, healthcare staff, government officials and community members.
He acknowledged the support of the CMO, Wokha, in organising the camp for the welfare of the village and said such initiatives play a vital role in bringing healthcare services directly to the community.
On behalf of the village council and the residents of Wokha village, Erui expressed appreciation to the medical team for dedicating their time, effort and expertise to serving the community.
WVEE president Elonbeni Tungoe said the health camp was organised to provide free healthcare services to villagers who are unable to access health facilities.

She expressed hope that the camp would benefit the community through its range of medical services.
The camp offered general health check-ups, antenatal care, blood sugar and blood pressure screening, eye screening, HIV testing, malaria and tuberculosis screening, distribution of free medicines, and on-the-spot generation of Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) cards.
The medical team included specialists in orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, dermatology and venereology, surgery, and psychiatry, along with medical officers from AYUSH and the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU).
Personnel from the MMU, National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP), District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), CMHIS and other health programmes also participated.
