Dimapur, March 15 (EMN): Union minister of state for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday told the Rajya Sabha that it would be premature to make public the ‘framework agreement’ signed between the NSCN (IM) and New Delhi. His reasoning was that ‘details of the final settlement’ were still being worked out within the parameters of the framework agreement’. Rijiju delivered this statement while responding to a question from DP Tripathi, MP from Maharashtra. “The framework agreement of August 3, 2015 between the government of India and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Issak-Muivah) is a relevant document. Details of the final settlement are being worked out within the parameters of the framework agreement. Hence it would be premature to make public the framework agreement,” a PIB press release reported Rijiju as saying.
