DIMAPUR — In yet another fire incident, this time at Ward-3 in Chümoukedima, four houses were completely destroyed on Saturday.
A source from Chümoukedima Fire Station informed that they had received the distress call at 12.29 noon and promptly dispatched two fire tenders along with fire personnel to the scene.
The source said that they were able to bring the blaze under control by around 1.45 pm. He further mentioned that the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, while the estimated property loss is approximately INR 30-35 lakh.
A Maruti Alto K10 vehicle was also destroyed in the fire; however, no casualties were reported.
