- DIMAPUR — A
two-day 1st foundational music production workshop, organised by the Department
of Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), was inaugurated by the additional
director of Information and Public Relations (IPR), Kevizayieno at The Centre
of Excellence In Music and Arts in Kohima on Friday.
- Speaking at the inaugural programme, Kevizayieno appreciated
the department for giving opportunities to the youth by organising the workshop
and stated that the government is focused on empowering the youth to have a
self- sustaining career.
- She encouraged the participants to strive for excellence and
fine-tune their performances to boost their artistic quality. She asserted the
importance of artificial intelligence in the field of music production and said
that the music industry has progressed technologically and made production more
efficient and user-friendly.
- She added that artificial intelligence is no more an option
but a necessity for the progress and survival in this fast changing world.
- In his welcome address, the project director of TaFMA, Dr.
Hovthal Sothu, has termed as a historic day for the department of TaFMA to
organise its 1st foundational music production workshop. He added that the
department is working day-in and day-out to ensure that the right people get
the right trade and opportunities to do things right and to move forward on the
vision that the government has for the music and arts industry.

- Altogether, 22 participants from all over Nagaland attended
the workshop. Topics on technical foundations of music production,
understanding sound, digital audio workstations, recording techniques and sound
design, mixing and mastering and business and future of music production would
be discussed during the workshop.
