[caption id="attachment_273073" align="alignright" width="269"] Wangto Konyak[/caption] Eastern Mirror Desk Dimapur, Sep. 22: A former political candidate for the Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections in 2018 Y Wangto Konyak is no more. The former candidate who contested for the 13th assembly from the 41-Tizit assembly constituency as an independent candidate against sitting legislator Paiwang Konyak was said to have breathed his last at the St. Stephen Hospital in Delhi on Sunday Sep. 22 at around 1 AM after a brief illness. He was 39 years-old. According to well-wishers, Konyak, a lawyer by profession, was known for ‘understanding the problems of the public and solving them in time although he could not win the elections.’ He joined the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party just before the by-polls to the Lok Sabha elections. He worked also as a member of the central executive council of the NDPP. Born on Sep. 3 1980 Wangto Konyak completed his Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University and LLB from Faculty of Law, Delhi University.
