Dimapur, Feb. 20 (EMN): The principal chief conservator of Forest (PCCF) I Panger Jamir inaugurated a nursery at Forest colony in Kohima on February 20. The PCCF highlighted the importance of using biodegradable containers for raising saplings in the nurseries. He opined that such initiatives would have a durable impact in reducing the use of polythene bags in future, updates stated.
The Kohima central nursery has a capacity of around 60,000 saplings.
