Staff Reporter Dimapur, August 16 Following recent eviction of encroachers along the peripheral wall of the Nagaland Zoological Park (NZP), State Forest Department has allowed construction of two-lane road between Thahekhu village to Seluophe village measuring 2000 metres x 20 ft bordering the Park to the Department of Road and Bridges. The attempt of the Forest Department to allot the land for construction of two-lane road within the periphery wall of the Zoological Park was to discourage recurrence of encroachment from unwanted elements. State Forest Minister, Y Patton, has formally declared for the construction of the road at the proposed site this afternoon in the presence of R&B minister Kuzholuzo Nienu, senior departmental officials, Dimapur Deputy Commissioner N Hushili Sema and Superintendent of Police VZ Angami. Meanwhile, R&B Department has appreciated the Forest Department for the allotting the land for construction of the two-lane road.
