Dimapur, June 26 (EMN): Forest Colony, Dimapur, for the first time, started the clean elections campaign initiated by NBCC and the joint forum of DUCCF & GBs Union under urban municipal area.
Several issues related to clean elections on social aspects, governance, code of conduct, government employees and elections, history of clean elections campaigns around the world were addressed by the core members Piholi and Akokla from women department and Hinong, youth president.
The colony council members Vikaho, Shilumayang and Vivika Sema, general secretary, also spoke on the occasion.
The Forest Colony Dimapur has resolved that no political camps will be allowed to be set up in the colony and not solicit cash/kind for selling or buying votes.
The programme was chaired by S Bendang, chairman Forest Colony Council Dimapur.
