- DIMAPUR — The
first phase of two-lane foothill road construction at Baghty in Wokha district
and Tuli in Mokokchung got underway simultaneously on January 6.
- The launch of a two-lane road construction, initiated by the
Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC), was held in the
presence of representatives from civil society organisations, apex tribal
Hohos, divisional departments at Sungkhatchu River for double lane galvanised
steel bridges (50 feet long) and 8.5 km double lane and 21:00 km single lane
from Tuli to Naganimora.
- An update from NFHRCC stated that the works would be
executed by M/S P Mha-Tum & Co and M/S 3S INFRA respectively as per the
NPWD (R&B) work orders costing INR 2.04 crore and INR 14,67.00 crore.
- Meanwhile, the committee has urged all the construction
firms, who have already signed the implementation agreement with NFHRCC, to
immediately start the construction works at the earliest.
