Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): More than 70 mithuns were treated for foot and mouth diseases, which broke out in Shiponger village under Tuensang district.
Following the outbreak of the disease, team from veterinary department in Shamator visited the village and treated the affected animals from June 19 to 24.
The village council chairman, K Kiumehean, informed that a total of 70 mithuns were treated successfully, the press release received from the chairman of Shiponger Village Council informed.
Meanwhile, the council has thanked the department particularly to P Showuba, senior veterinary field assistant, for carrying out the task.
