Food safety officials and KMC carrying out the joint inspection in Kohima on Oct. 12.[/caption]
Dimapur, Oct. 12 (EMN): Food safety officials along with officials from Kohima municipal council carried out a joint inspection of food establishments on Oct. 11 and seized some food products which had exceeded the best before date from a bakery, M/s Best Bakery located at PR Hill, Kohima.
The CMO and designated officer, Dr. Ritu Thurr, in a press statement, appealed to the consumers to participate and report to the office of the designated officer (Chief Medical Officer), Kohima with regard to any complaints about food items being sold in the town.
“Colony panchayats/youth organisations can also write to the undersigned if joint inspection needs to be done in regard to food items in your colonies,” stated Thurr.
