WOKHA — A flower exhibition and sales-cum-workshop on floriculture, organised by the Wosenro Okho, was held at Tiyi town hall, Wokha, on Tuesday.
The event brought together flower enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and horticulture professionals from across the district to promote floriculture as a source of livelihood and aesthetic enrichment.
Chumbeni Odyuo, District Soil Conservation Officer (DSCO), Wokha, attended the programme as special guest. In her address, she underscored the potential of floriculture to empower women and rural communities, citing Nagaland’s favourable climate for commercial flower cultivation.
Julie Jungio chaired the event, while Thungbeni Ngullie delivered greetings and commended the Wosenro Okho for its continued efforts in promoting floriculture.
She also acknowledged Anuranjan, Skill Officer, for his contributions to youth development and community welfare. “As a flower lover, I feel that without flowers, a home feels incomplete,” she said.
