On the occasion of the 60th Statehood, Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio flagged off the Nagaland Polic eSpecial Operations Group (SOG) vehicles. Following the widrawal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from 15 police Stations Areas in the State. Nagaland Police had to take the responsibility of not only preventing of crimes, maintainence of law and order, internal security of the State bit also counter isurgency operations. In thhis regard , two battalions of Nagaland Armed Police have been identified as the Special Operations Group for CI ops in the state, To operate in any part of the State and to ensure mobility and interpidness, procurement of various operations field level vehicles of the SOG and 44 vehicles have been procured by Nagaland Police.
