Fixture for Dr. T Ao Trophy 2025 released

KOHIMA — The official group stage fixture for the upcoming Dr. T Ao Trophy (Inter-District Football Championship) 2025 was released on Friday. The tournament is scheduled to be held from August 1 to 15 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

Organised by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA), and hosted by the Kohima District Football Association (KDFA), the championship is being powered by the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Kohima.

According to the fixture, a total of 28 matches will be played during the group stage from August 1 to 9. The 17 participating district teams have been divided into four groups: Group A consists of five districts, while Groups B, C, and D have four districts each.

The inaugural match will see host district Kohima take on Tseminyu on August 1 at 3 pm. Defending champions Tuensang will play their first match against Mon district on August 2 at 9 am.

As per the prize structure, the tournament winner will receive INR 3 lakh, while the runner-up will take home INR 2 lakh. The two semi-finalist teams will be awarded INR 50,000 each.

Additionally, each of the 17 district football associations has been allocated a preparation fund of INR 50,000 by the organisers.
