


Kohima: Sports Leadership School was held in Kohima with an aim to raise church sports leaders across the region from April 15 to the 30th at Jubilee Memorial Centre, Lerie Kohima.
This year, 25 leaders from seven states attended the school while the trainees were from various fields such as professional athletes, missionaries, evangelists, and youth leaders, it said.
Sports Leadership School is an initiative of Gethemgo Sports International in partnership with Sports Coalition of India and Church Sports and Recreational Ministries.
During the camp, trainees were taught and equipped with modules such as servant leadership, team leadership, an influential leadership, bible and sports, sports parables, power of sports, learning through games, church and sports, kids games, global community games, go sports, go play, go health and fitness, sports theology, sustainable models, communication skills, making disciples etc, an update stated.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Each trainee was given huge resources to empower and enhance their ministries (pen drives loaded with all sports ministry resources, J316 balls, J316 wristbands, school shirts, coaching for life resources, sports bible, discipleship bible and training manuals, stated the update.
It informed that the trainees went through intensive training with theoretical sessions, three outreaches to villages, prison, park, orphanage, academy, and schools. The trainees also had outdoor leadership training to Pulie Badze with a vision to learn on team works which was followed by stress night.
It may be mentioned that Gethemgo Sports International also runs a Sports Academy at Coraggio School Campus with a vision to give the “best football experience” for the kids to learn life values, biblical values through football skills and the academy is built on three pillars football, faith and future. Gethemgo Sports Academy also gives free coaching to Coraggio School and orphanage twice a week.
