Fish dealer arrested for catfishing people

Dimapur, Sep. 26 (EMN): The Kohima police have arrested an individual on charges of duping a Kohima resident of money. The district’s police issued a press release on Thursday to the media informing about the enforcement activity. According to the police, a complaint was received at North Police Station that one Mantu Mahato, a fishmonger, had duped a local resident of Kohima to the tune of INR 6 lakh and had fled from Kohima in the month of April 2019. Following investigations, the accused was traced to Shilllong in Meghalaya from where a police team from Kohima arrested Mahato on September 24, the press release stated. The 30-year old Mahato from Mirzapur in Bihar has been brought to Kohima for further necessary investigation, the police stated.
