Regimental School DEF Wokha won both boys’ and girls’ titles at the first U-14 Sepak Takraw Tournament in Wokha.

DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Wokha Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, organised the first U-14 Sepak Takraw Tournament where Regimental School DEF Wokha emerged champions in both the boys’ and girls’ categories, defeating Cistus School, Wokha.
According to an update, T Zuchanthung Lotha, vice president of the Wokha District Sepak Takraw Association, delivering the keynote address, encouraged the participants to take the game seriously and make the best use of the opportunity provided through the department and ANPSA.
He added that Sepak Takraw has ample scope for serious players to shine at both the national and international stages, stating that Nagas, being naturally athletic and quick to learn, have an advantage in the sport.

The oath-taking ceremony was administered by James Ezung. Prizes to the champions and runners-up were given away by T Zuchanthung Lotha.
