First phase of poll training on March 27 in Mokokchung

MOKOKCHUNG — The Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Election Officer (DEO) of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has informed all polling personnel, grade IV/MTS requisitioned, departmental nodal officers, and sector officers that the first phase of training for the general election to the Lok Sabha is scheduled to be held on March 27.

The training schedule is as follows:

• Training for presiding officers and first polling officers (female) will commence at 9:30 am at Mayangnokcha GHSS.
• Training for presiding officers and first polling officers (male) will commence at 12 pm at Mayangnokcha GHSS.
• Training for second and third polling officers (both male and female) will commence at 10 am at Mayangnokcha GHSS.
• Training for grade IV/MTS (both male and female) will commence at 12 pm at Town Hall, Mokokchung.

In this regard, all polling personnel and grade IV/MTS have been instructed to submit a photocopy of their EPIC card/service ID card, as well as two passport-sized photographs, during the training in order to obtain an election duty certificate (EDC) and election duty ID card.

Furthermore, all concerned departmental nodal officers have been directed to notify all requisitioned officials and grade IV staff in their respective departments about the training schedule.

The order stated that strict action would be taken against absentees under Section 134 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
