DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 21
The closing program of Nagaland Badminton Ranking Tournament and inauguration of Kuda Badminton Stadium was held today here at Kuda Badminton Stadium, Nagarjan with Dr. Niekiesalie (Nicky) Kire, Minister of Forests, Ecology, Environment & Wildlife, gracing the occasion as a chief guest.
Addressing the gathering Dr. Kire said that badminton has been selected as a 6th game by the State Government.
“Having such a beautiful Stadium (Kuda Badminton Stadium), we can make full use of it”, he said and also hopes to see young boys and girls to make use of it and bring laurels to the state.
Badminton is a game to keep oneself healthy, and to excel in the game one has to be determine, devotion and sincerity, he added.
Dr. Kire was accompanied by Vikhehu Swu, Minister of Road and Bridges, who is also the president of Nagaland Badminton Association and host of Parliamentary Secretaries.
