Dimapur, April 29 (EMN): With an object to appraise the services of the recently established Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC) at Phek, the first meeting for the district-level task force committee was held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner, Phek on April 26.
OSC is an initiative of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, GoI, to provide an integrated response and support under one roof to women affected by violence, informed OSC Phek in a press release.
Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS, and chairperson of district task force committee, Sakhi- One Stop Centre, who chaired the meeting, told the participants that the scheme would reach out to all the blocks under Phek district, through awareness campaign with the participation of all the village council, mother society and different organisation in the entire respective block.
The meeting was attended by many dignitaries, including superintendent of police, Phek, Vrinda Sukla IPS, officers from the deputy commissioner office, chief medical officer Phek, and representative from the medical superintendent of district hospital, Phek, IT & Telecommunication JTO, panel lawyers from District Legal Service Authority, Phek, and NGOs from PAMA, PTMO, PTYO and PTSU.
