DIMAPUR — The first batch of the
Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) programme in private colleges
concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony on Monday.
The initiative was led by Startup Nagaland, the Department
of Industries and Commerce, and executed by Educentre School of Business,
according to an update.
P Tokugha, director of Industries and Commerce, attended the
event and encouraged students by highlighting that entrepreneurship in Nagaland
is gaining momentum and becoming a promising career option. He also stressed
the importance of fostering innovation and becoming job creators to make a
positive impact.
He advised students to strive for excellence and not to
chase success, but instead, to focus on doing things right, as success will
follow. He also highlighted the department's efforts to support startups.
Around 60 students from Tetso College, St. Joseph’s
Autonomous College, Eastern Christian College, and C-Edge College successfully
completed the EDC programme and were awarded certificates.
Educentre expressed heartfelt thanks to the Department of
Industries and Commerce and Startup Nagaland for their unwavering support in
strengthening Nagaland’s startup ecosystem.
