Dimapur, Nov. 26: Seven houses were razed by a fire at Nagagaon locality in Dimapur on Monday night. The fire broke out at around 8 pm.
Police officials said that three fire trucks were employed to douse the fire. Panicked residents of the locality were seen evacuating the area with their belongings, only to return late Monday night after the fire fighters succeeded in dousing the blaze.
Officials were yet to ascertain the cause of the fire, and the extent of damage it caused, till the filing of this report. There were no reports of casualty.
An LPG cylinder also exploded around 8.30 pm.
