In another incident on Sunday evening, the BJP Mokokchung unit’s office caretaker’s room was partially destroyed by fire at around 5:26 pm at Arkong ward. Timely intervention from the Fire division prevented the blaze from spreading. The fire may have been caused by a short circuit, an official informed.
On Monday evening at around 6:00 pm, a house was completely razed in another fire at Marepkong ward in Mokokchung. OC SI Thungathung T Shitiri, who was at the spot, informed that the department received information at 6:20 pm.
