
Members of St. John’s Catholic Church with the fire-affected
family in Kiusam town on April 5.
- DIMAPUR — One
house was completely destroyed in a devastating fire which broke at Sunrise
Colony in Kiusam town under Kiphire district on April 5 at around 4 pm.
- Report from Kiusam town stated that the cause of the fire
was not known and there was no report of any casualty.

- Neighbours and youth of the town helped to douse the fire
and prevented from spreading to nearby houses. It stated that the affected
family is temporarily accommodated with the relatives.
- Report also stated that members of St. John’s Catholic
Church in Kiusam town met the family members, who were at the state of shock
and emotionally distress. The members prayed with them and gave provisions such
clothes, utensils and a meagre amount for immediate relief.
- The members also assured to provide textbooks and other
necessary items to a child of class 6, who is presently studying at St. John
School Kiusam.
