Houses being reduced to ashes at Lahorijan in Assam.

Our Correspondent
Diphu, Nov. 23 (EMN):
More than 100 houses were reduced to ashes after a massive fire broke out at Lahorijan under Khatkhati Police Station in Karbi Anglong, Assam-Nagaland border on Tuesday.

It was informed that fire tenders from Dimapur and Bokajan arrived at the site and pressed into action to douse the inferno and Khatkhati police too rushed to the location to take control of the situation.

The fire was suspected to have started from one of the houses before spreading to the adjoining areas.

However, no casualty was reported though properties, including a car were burnt in the fire.
