  • KOHIMA — A private residence located below the directorate of Nagaland Board of School Education in Bayavü colony, Kohima, was partially damaged after the fire broke out on Friday night.

  • According to eyewitness accounts, the fire started around 7 pm and partially damaged the concrete building. The fire is believed to have started from the top floor.

  • The Fire Station (North), Kohima, received the distress call at 8.32 pm. Three fire tenders along with a crew from the station and an additional fire tender and 7-member crew from Fire Station (South) were required to douse the fire, official sources informed. No casualty was reported.
