KIPHIRE — A fire broke out on Wednesday morning in Kipongya Ward, Zone 6, Kisingki—approximately 3 km from Fire Station Kiphire—causing extensive damage to property.
The blaze, reported at 5:40 am, prompted an immediate response from the Kiphire fire services, which deployed two water tankers and personnel to the scene.
After a sustained firefighting effort lasting an hour, the fire was brought under control.

The incident resulted in the destruction of six rooms and three kitchens. However, timely intervention by the fire department prevented the flames from spreading.
Two minors sustained injuries during the incident and were administered first aid at the District Hospital Kiphire.
