Dimapur, Sep. 27 : A minor fire was reported in Dimapur on Thur. Sep. 27 at around 6.40 pm. The incident occurred near Dimapur sub-jail where a kitchen was completely razed to ashes, according to a source from the Dimapur Fire Service.
The cause of the incident could not be ascertained as the owner of the house was not present at the time of the incident. Three fire tenders left from the Fire brigade office but on reaching the spot, the fire was under control with the assistance of the neighbours, said the fire service personnel.
The notorious Dimapur traffic also caused the fire tenders to delay in reaching the spot on time, it was reported.
