
Resource persons with students and faculty of Stepping
Stones School, Dimapur, on Thursday.
- DIMAPUR — A
financial literacy camp was jointly organised by the Common Visions Foundation
and the Nagaland Rural Bank, Dhobinala Branch, Dimapur, for the students and
teachers of Stepping Stones School, Dimapur, on Thursday.
- The branch manager, Dikho Kaini, and branch assistant,
Matsung, were the resource persons for the camp. They spoke about the
importance of developing financial awareness and saving habits at an early age,
stated a press release.
- During the session, they also highlighted various services
and schemes provided by the bank and distributed account opening forms to
interested students.
- Key highlights of the session included how children from age
zero can open accounts with a minimum deposit of INR 10 and that loan
facilities are available for teachers and employees. It was also noted that a
variety of insurance policies and loans are available for interested
individuals and groups.
- The resource persons also stated that self-help group (SHG)
loans are available, which are particularly beneficial for unemployed youth,
vegetable vendors, and housewives, helping them to become self-reliant.
