
Model Christian College (MCC), Kohima, organised a ‘Financial education’ workshop on March 3 and the 4th with Chenio Lotha as the resource person.
The workshop was held in collaboration with the National Institute of Securities Market established under Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), which promotes financial and securities education.
The college in an update informed that the two-day workshop, which included eight comprehensive sessions, focused on awareness of personal finance framework, employment opportunities in financial service industries, self-employment opportunities, risks involved while investing in securities market, empowerment of students while facing interviews in financial services industry, etc.
All participants were given e- certificate and students who received not less than 60% in the test conducted during the workshop will receive pass certificates. The college also received a certificate of appreciation from the institute.
A total of 100 students attended the workshop, it stated.
