Special Secretary Sajjan Singh Yadav visited Nagaland and inspected SASCI-funded projects in Chümoukedima on Monday.

DIMAPUR — Special Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Dr. Sajjan Singh Yadav, visited Nagaland on Monday as part of a two-day official tour to inspect projects implemented under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme in Chümoukedima.
According to a DIPR report, on his arrival at Dimapur Airport, Yadav was received by Additional Secretary, Finance and IDAN, Vineet Kumar, and other officials.
He proceeded to Chümoukedima and inspected projects at the Police Complex, including the Officers’ Mess and football stadium constructed under various phases of the SASCI scheme.
He also inspected the Unity Mall project and visited the Chümoukedima Police Station, where barracks and Type-III quarters constructed under SASCI 2023-24 were reviewed.
During the inspection, Yadav was accompanied by Finance Commissioner and Commissioner and Secretary to the Chief Minister, Kesonyu Yhome, along with other senior officials.
He interacted with the officials at the project sites and reviewed the status of the ongoing works.
The visit was undertaken to assess implementation of projects and review utilisation of funds under centrally supported schemes in the state.
