DIMAPUR — On the first day of the seventh session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly held at NLA Hall, Kohima, on Tuesday, Chief Minister and Leader of the House, Neiphiu Rio, introduced the Nagaland State Finance Commission Bill, 2025, and the Nagaland Flood Plain Zoning Bill, 2025.
According to a DIPR report, Rio presented the Annual Administrative Report 2024-2025 of the Department of Agriculture as well as the Nagaland Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2024.
He further presented before the house the Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board Audit Report for the years 2020-2021 to 2022-2023.
Chairperson of the Committee on Environment and Climate (2025-2026), Achumbemo Kikon, presented the Internal Working Rules of the Committee on Environment and Climate Change. Chairperson of the Committee on Urban Local Bodies and Nagaland Village Councils, KT Sukhalu, presented the Internal Working Rules of the Committee on Urban Local Bodies and Nagaland Village Councils (vis-à-vis The Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023, and The Nagaland Village and Tribal Councils Act of 1978, as amended up to 2022).

Dr. Sukhato A Sema, chairperson of the Committee on Public Undertakings (2025-2026), presented before the house the 149th and 150th reports on the action taken by the government on the observations and recommendations contained in the 140th and 141st reports of the Committee on Public Undertakings on the Examination of the Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the years 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, pertaining to the Nagaland Hotels and Tourism Development Corporation Limited under the Department of Industries and Commerce.
He also presented the 151st report on the Examination of the Audit Paragraphs that appeared in the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year 2021-2022 relating to the Nagaland Hotels and Tourism Development Corporation Limited under the Department of Industries and Commerce.
Dr. Sukhato further presented the 152nd and 153rd reports on the action taken by the government on the observations and recommendations contained in the 142nd and 143rd reports of the Committee on Public Undertakings on the Examination of the Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year 2018-2019, pertaining to the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) under the Department of Industries and Commerce.
Further, he presented the 154th report on the Examination of the Audit Paragraphs that appeared in the Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year 2021-2022 relating to the NIDC under the Department of Industries and Commerce.
Zhaleo Rio, chairperson of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation (2025-2026), presented the 85th report on the Nagaland Coal Mining (First Amendment) Rules, 2014, and the 86th report on the Nagaland Land Resources Development Service Rules, 2008 (Class I and Class II).
The secretary-in-charge, Nagaland Legislative Assembly secretariat, reported the assent of the governor of Nagaland to the following bills: Nagaland Appropriation (No. 1, 2, 3) Bill, 2025; The Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Tenth Amendment) Bill, 2024; The Nagaland Town and Country Planning (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2025; The Nagaland Work-Charged and Casual Employees Regulation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025; and The Rules for Administration of Justice and Police in Nagaland (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2025.
