During the informal visit, Temjen Toy lauded the Ungma people ‘for preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Ao’s’ but opined that in this era of technology ‘elders should try to impart this heritage to the younger generation.’ A visitor, Bendangkokba said that ‘in our culture folk dances and songs are not only the core values of tradition.’ It involves values such as hard work, he said. The programme was followed merrymaking with everyone participating in folk dance and singing songs.
