Dimapur, Jan. 16 (EMN): Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has mourned the untimely demise of Brig. Medochülie, Naga Army No. 03926, 6th Bn. 2nd Bde. W/C, who passed away on January 15 in Ura village, Angami region, after prolonged illness.
In a condolence message, Naga Army C-in-C, Gen. Tavecho Lala, stated that Brig. Medochülie, son of Tsovilie of Meriema village, joined Naga Army on May 18, 1963, and steadfastly served the nation till his death. Besides successfully carrying out his assigned duties in the Alee Command to East Pakistan and China, he held various posts in national defence service. He was also a recipient of Military Cross (MC) and Hero Award.
It lamented that his demise has caused irrecoverable loss and created vacuum in the nation and community.
It added that his true sacrifice and patriotic services rendered to the nation would always remain alive in the history of the Naga nation. It further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul.
