Unauthorised Tax Collection It has come to the government attention that a “group of imposters” at the behest of some unscrupulous person(s) without the knowledge and authorisation from the Chaplee Ministry of the Federal government has been collecting the Annual Commercial Tax (2015-16 fiscal year) at Dimapur town jurisdiction by way of coercion and intimidation in the name of Federal Government. This group of imposters are using the fake government documents by copying and duplicating by themselves and let it out secretly to the open market. In view of this, the Federal government has seriously pondered and constituted the ‘action committee’ to purify the menace that is threatening the image of the government since they are committing the highest national crime which is beyond pardonable. Hence, the government earnestly issue this statement to all business establishments/communities to contact the government authorities beforehand in order to ascertain the genuineness.
