DIMAPUR — Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, conducted an orientation programme for the newly admitted first-semester students of BA, B.SC., and B.Com. on Wednesday at the college auditorium.
According to a press release from the college, the principal, Dr. I Wati Imchen, in alignment with the vision of the college to develop it into a hub of multidisciplinary studies and a centre for indigenous research of national and international relevance, urged the students to be involved in fulfilling the vision and mission of the college and encouraged them to move forth with the spirit of adventure, exploring their academic life in the college.
One notable feat of the college this year is the introduction of the Commerce stream, and with the onset of the new semester, about 28 students took admission as the first batch of the college.
The principal appreciated the students of Commerce for their trust in the college, assuring them of the best possible education.

The college administration, on the occasion, also announced and reimbursed 50% of the admission fee to the highest scorers in all three streams, i.e., Arts, Science, and Commerce.
The programme included an orientation on the course structure of the First Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by the vice principal, LS Vinod Kumar.
Talisenla, associate professor and head of the Department of Education, highlighted the code of conduct, and Dr. Lendina, librarian, instructed and informed students on how to avail themselves of the facilities of the college library.
