Father (Dedicated to all the fathers on Father’s Day)Father (Dedicated to all the fathers on Father’s Day)
A poem dedicated to all the fathers on the occasion of Father’s Day, highlighting the sacrifice and love of a father.
- Father
- (Dedicated to
all the fathers)
-
- In the glorification of a mother
- Fatherhood has become silent
- Somewhere among the noise and doubt
- There is a good father
-
- He brings his best to the table
- He sings the only song he knows and the child
becomes quite
- Quickly he takes the place of a mother when she is
gone
- He refuses a lover and the children remembers their
buried mother
-
- ‘This and that’ and his day set in trying to please
the little ones
- Yet he closes his eyes knowing that his best is not
enough
- He has never waited for his share of love and reward
- He never thought he needed one!
-
- Middle of the night he reasons with God choking in
sorrow
- Somewhere in the last pew his tears remain stained
for a long time
- No one may ever know his brokenness and fear
- But his prayer is undefeated and desperate!
-
A wife without a husband becomes lonely
A child without a father seldom sings
‘Father’ a call synonym to courage, protection,
sacrifice and love
He earns, he feeds, he clothes and he lullabies!
His love is so silent yet so strong
His presence lightens the darkest corner
The first hero of a daughter
The first teacher to a son
Life becomes complete in the care of a Godly father!
Father!
