Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): A total of 87 farmers from different villages in Phek district have witnessed live telecast of nationwide farmers’ interaction with the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi at Porba village community hall on June 20.
The screening of live webcasting was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Phek, of ICAR-NRC on Mithun.
The gist of the interactive session was translated into local dialect for a better understanding of the farmers. The immense role of grass root institutes like KVK, ATMA, DRDA, NGOs and other district organisations in disseminating scientific technologies to the agrarian community was also explained.
Village council members, youth leaders, and KVK officials advised the farmers to adopt scientific farming practices for doubling the income.
More than twenty-five people including the staff members of National Research Centre (NCR) on Mithun, Medziphema, have also witnessed the live telecast in its Medziphema campus.
