Dimapur, Jan. 2 (EMN): Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Jalukie block, in Peren district conducted capacity building on entrepreneurship development through poultry farming on December 12 in Samziuram village.
During the programme, resource person Mrs AolaTzudir (BTM) highlighted on activities of ATMA and its duties towards the farming communities. She also encouraged farmers to take up poultry as it could improve their economy with proper management and dedication.
A total of seven farmers attended the training.
ATMA Jalukie block also conducted capacity building on commercial pickle production on December 11 in Jalukie town.
Resource person Mrs Aola Tzudir (BTM) encouraged female farmers to take part in value addition of locally available farmer produce. She also demonstrated on tomato pickle making.

ATMA Jalukie block also inaugurated a fishery farm school in New Market Colony, Jalukie town, on December 10.
Speaking on the occasion, resource person Helungsuipoing Mbungtsa (ATM) educated on proper management of ponds and feeding for good yield. Farmers were demonstrated on lime application on ponds and purpose of application.
A total of 14 farmers attended the programme.
