Faith in Action Open Taekwondo Championship concludes: Immanuel Taekwondo Academy are team champions

Faith in Action Taekwondo Academy in an update on Sunday stated that the championship began on November 1. Immanuel Taekwondo Academy won the team champion by bagging a total of 18 gold, 10 silver, and 14 bronze medals while first runners-up St Stephens Higher Secondary School won 7 gold, 7 silver, and 13 bronze medals. The second runners-up was bagged by Westside School with a total of 7 gold, 8 silver, and 12 bronze medals. Altogether 258 players and 30 officials from St. Joseph Global School, Westside School, Christian Higher Secondary School, Pranabananda Women’s College, St Stephen’s Higher Secondary School, Carmel Higher Secondary School, Vision Home Higher Secondary School, Oracle School, St Marys Higher Secondary School, St Thomas Higher Secondary School, Immanuel Taekwondo Academy, and PT- Academy, Tripura took part in the championship. Imnatoshi Longkumer (boys division) from Immanuel Taekwondo Academy and Liike Kibami (girls division) also from Immanuel Taekwondo Academy received the best of the best fighter award. Vihuka Aye (boys division) from St Stephens’ Higher Secondary School and Zouzamyala (girls division) from Immanuel Taekwondo Academy received the player of the year awards while Asa V. Chishi and Kivin received the best referee award. The best discipline and the best active team were awarded to Westside School and St Stephen’s Higher Secondary School. The winning trophies were handed over to the champions by Vikheho Awomi, Former DMC chairman. Individual awards were also given to the following eight best fighters from male and female divisions:
  1. Sub-junior boys: Smaiham Langthasa (Westside School)
  2. Sub-junior girls: Anna Sumi (Carmel School)
  3. Cadet boys: Pongyan Phom (Vision Home School)
  4. Cadet girls: Alokali V. Awomi (Immanuel Taekwondo Academy)
  5. Junior boys: Puloto Swu (St. Stephens School)
  6. Junior girls: Nongyan Konyak (St. Stephens School)
  7. Senior boys: Kitenlo K. Thono (Immanuel Taekwondo Academy)
  8. Senior girls: Hinokali (Pranabananda Women’s College)
