Dimapur, Oct 24 (EMN): For better co-ordination among fair price shop dealers in the entire districts and to deal with other issues confronting the members, fair price shop dealers have constituted an apex body with its nomenclature ‘All Nagaland Fair Price Shops’ Association.’
The decision to form an apex body was taken in a joint consultative meeting with representatives from Mokokchung, Wokha, Zunheboto, Mon and Dimapur on October 24 in Dimapur. The meeting was hosted by Dimapur unit.
A joint press release issued by sessional secretary, Hotoshe Sumi, and president of Dimapur Fair Price Shops’ Union, CP Gonmei, stated that after prolong deliberation, the members unanimously resolved to constitute/formed one apex body. The body was formed for better co-ordination among the entire district fair price shop dealers in Nagaland who act as a middle person between the government and beneficiaries dealing in essential commodities under Food & Civil Department.
The members further selected Hotoshe Sumi and Meijiang as president and general secretary respectively, Wangkam Konyak as vice president, Hotoi Sumi as joint secretary, Ms. Vepranulu Nyekha as finance secretary, and Ezabemo Yanthan as information and publicity secretary.
Meanwhile, the house appealed to all the respective district fair price shop unions to nominate one person as representatives to the association who will be an executive member.
