Explosives seized, one arrested

Staff Reporter DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 2 IN a surprise check of vehicles DEF SOT ( District Enforcement Special Operation Team) recovered one Chinese hand grenade and eleven live rounds of .22 calibre from a Gypsy with no registration number plate. The incident took place at Eros Lane, today at around 1 pm. The accused driver in possession of the recovery was identified as Atoshe Achumi (38). son of Viniho Achumi, of Hovikhu village under Niuland sub-division of Dimapur district and presently residing at Nagarjan near GHSS. A case was registered at Dimapur East P.S under Explosive substance Act & 25 (1:8) (a) Arms Act with further investigation on.
