- DIMAPUR — The
Department of Industries and Commerce and Nagaland Industrial Development
Corporation Ltd. (NIDC) organised a two-day workshop on "Dedicated
workshop on packaging, branding and marketing with the experts" under the
Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme, held on March 27 and
28 at Tetso College, Chümoukedima, equipping 107 trainees on Day 1 and 72
trainees on Day 2.
- According to a DIPR report, the workshop aimed to equip
enterprises from Nagaland with essential skills and ideas on packaging,
branding, and marketing by bringing in industry experts for a comprehensive
session teaching key skills in these areas.
- The experts present were Sasha Keneivonuo, branding and
marketing consultant, former AVP of marketing at Lenskart and former head of
digital strategy at Good Glamm Group, who taught the branding modules; Neha
Kumari, marketing and social media consultant, former social media marketing
and growth lead at Lenskart, who taught the marketing modules; and Vinay Gupta,
founder of Dots & Squares Design, who taught the packaging modules.
- The inaugural session was led by Keneirienuo T Zatsu, Deputy
Director of Industries and Commerce, who chaired the session and introduced the
experts and the workshop.
- K Francis Hekavi, Joint Director of Industries and Commerce,
attended the occasion as the special guest. He encouraged attendees to maximise
the benefits of such workshops, emphasising the pivotal role of branding,
packaging, and marketing as catalysts for business growth. Highlighting the
importance of packaging and branding, he stated that these elements are crucial
for creating a lasting first impression, which often determines the success of
an enterprise's product in the market.
- Day one of the workshop commenced with an overview of
marketing fundamentals, emphasising consumer engagement, and a case study on
industry best practices. Participants explored branding strategies, with expert
Sasha Keneivonuo teaching sessions on personal branding, brand storytelling,
and exercises on developing personal brand frameworks.
