Dimapur, October 15: Handicraft exhibition and cultural extravaganza from various church associations marked the second day of Sumi Baptist Convention (SBC) silver jubilee celebrations at Trinity Theological College, Thahekhu, on October 15.
In the evening service, Secretary of Land Resources, Y Kikheto Sema, exhorted the church leaders to stoutly stand for the right and denounce all things that are wrong. He said leaders should take the jubilee as an opportune time to forgive one another and create an atmosphere of peace and unity.Kikheto appealed the church to actively work towards making clean election campaign a reality in the state.
During the programme, Senior Pastor of SBC Zunheboto, Rev. S Yevito Sema, conducted special prayer for the bereaved church leaders during the last 25 years.
A special song was presented by the Purana Bazaar Sumi Baptist Church choir. Director of SBC, Rev. Dr. Khehovi A Shohe, delivered the sermon.
