DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 1: Excise department organised a farewell programme for two of its senior officers namely, Pitongse Sangtam, additional commissioner of Excise and Ghokiho Yeptho, assistant commisssioner of Excise (Ent), on completion of 35 years of service at Excise Directorate Conference hall on November 30,.
Speaking on the occasion, commissioner of Excise, Tarep Imchen, congratulated the two outgoing officer for accomplishing their 35 years of active service without any adverse remarks in their service career and for retiring in good health. He also thanked the outgoing officers for giving their best service for the department and wished them a happy retired life.
Both the outgoing officers also spoke and narrated their success stories in their service life and further advised the officer and staffs to work in unity for the welfare and in the interest of public service.
Other senior officers also spoke and wished the outgoing officers a happy healthy retired life and presented them with gifts.
The programme was chaired by Visedelie Mepfuo, deputy commissioner of Excise and concluded with a mass prayer.Directorate of Soil and Water Conservation organized a solemn farewell programme for Peter K.Rengma , its outgoing director; Akhevi, junior engineer; Bendangnungsang, head driver and Medongunuo, senior typist, at office Conference Hall on Novembetr 30.
The programme commenced with the inauguration of the department’s website www.snwc.nagaland.gov.in by the outgoing director.
In his farewell speech, Peter said it was the most unforgettable day in his life and is retiring as a happy and satisfied man. Sharing his work experience with the department for 31 years in the outpost and the remaining in the directorate, he said t he was impressed by the cooperation and the team spirit of the departments officials. He also challenged the officers to give their best and work with utmost sincerity without procrastinating their assigned duties.
Imkongneken, the incoming director described the outgoing director as a principled, hardworking, diplomatic and a kind hearted man. He thanked him for his effort in reviving the department and acknowledged him for sharpening the stone of the department.
Officials who spoke on in the programme also lauded him for his genuineness and wished him a happy retired life.
Special song was presented by Khekiho Shohe & Co. The Programme was chaired by Hevikhe Sema, project director while vote of thanks was proposed by E. James Lotha, joint director.
