[caption id="attachment_113451" align="alignleft" width="550"] Veer naris and World War II veterans felicitate during the ex-servicemen rally at Jakhama Military Station on Friday.[/caption] Dimapur, May 5 (EMN): An ex-servicemen rally was organised for Kohima, Phek, Kiphire, Wokha and Zhuneboto districts of Nagaland by the Red Shield Division in coordination with Rajya Sainik Board of Nagaland on May 5, at Jakhama Military Station. In the opening address, Col Neeraj Dhawan, ESM Welfare Officer of Zakhama Brigade, welcomed veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents. Brig K K Ray Choudhary, SM, VSM (Retd), secretary of Rajya Sainik Board highlighted the efforts of the state government to ameliorate the conditions for ex-servicemen. The Veer Naris and the World War II veterans present at the rally were facilitated. Numerous stalls were put up by the Army and Rajya Sainik Board to update the ESM regarding schemes and policies pertaining to their welfare. Pensioner Grievance Cell was also established at the venue to address pension related issues of the ESM. The highlight of the rally was the establishment of Suvigya Portals which was instrumental in resolutions of many ESM pension issues in situ. As part of the ESM rally a Medical camp was also organised.
