If you lose culture, you lose everything, says Nienu Staff Reporter Dimapur, October 24 The Rainbow Choir Nagaland in collaboration with the Department of Art and Culture Nagaland organized a cultural programme, ‘Ethnic Blend 2014’ under the theme ‘Peace and Unity through Culture’ in coordination with various organizations and tribal hohos of Dimapur district at town hall. Chief Guest Minister Roads and Bridges and Parliamentary Affairs Kuzholuzo Nienu in his speech spoke on the importance of Naga culture he said which should be preserved. He said, the objective of organizing the event was to erase the feelings of tribalism while teaching every Naga to live in peaceful co-existence. Nienu also encouraged the organizers to help promote cultural unity from all the Naga tribes by way of creating a feeling of oneness not only with traditional attirea but with one’s way of living as well. He said the true essence of Nagas is honesty and truthfulness by doing away with bad cultures and adapting the good cultural ways of living. He said, ‘If you lose culture, you lose everything.’ The programme showcased various traditional attires and descriptions of their significances of Naga tribes. Director Window Media Dr. Aotoshi was guest of honor in the programme.
