Because I am paid irregularly ever since I got trapped in govt job through the bait of open interview in 2013, I am having the worst years of survival in my prime age of life.
Instead of having to earn and save, you people have made me enslaved in debts which was unlike me, when I was not serving as an SSA teacher.
Now that my survival is filled with struggles, I get sleepless nights and its visible through my dark circles as living proof if you need evidence. Do you realize you are torturing 2600 teachers like me for the past 4 years ? Who will compensate the interest that we teachers have to pay for the loans that we borrow to serve you as teachers? You do not pay our interest hence, you are accountable for it also. In a way, we are kind and tolerant for , we are not holding you accountable for the mental and emotional harassment that is placed upon us being victims of this pathetic payment system. Even the Written Assurance signed on November 2016 is so unassuring now as irregular payment still exists like a long loving fashion statement.
To add to our woes, give us good roads at least for God sake! We do not travel in SUVs like you all . We travel in diesel auto that sounds like rice mill and makes you feel like you are trashed in a mixer grinder where you can feel even your intestine being dislocated when we ply on the roads of Dimapur, that is so beautifully described as The Commercial Hub of Nagaland much to our sorrow and shame.I pity the pregnant women in Nagaland beyond words. Even the foetus will be cursing you all beyond their innocence.
When it rains it gets flooded and you need to surf your vehicle or pretend you are an off road motor rally driver. When it doesn’t rain, Hallelujah! You do not need to go to Thar desert or Sahara desert . Good Gracious! The dust that comes out of unmaintained roads will surely gift the citizens of Dimapur lung cancer, Asthma and other diseases related to pollution as well as those minor injuries that passengers usually encounter when their heads bumps on the iron rods of the Auto rickshaw. But, the citizens too are so polite and forgiving that grumbling at the driver is all that one does.
By the way, the sand stocked for sale right at the highway areas that are without barricades or coverings punishes the passengers and pedestrians at its best during windy days. This civic sense of covering it with proper barricades should not be a hassle to direct by the authorities if not to shift those sites, in the best interest of the majority of the public.
Actually, I am also fed up of writing in social media and print media about the ailments of the society. One writes as a concerned law abiding citizen who deserves good governance which is long overdue but, when the words goes wasted and the youths are brushed aside as just wasting time in negativity on social media, one cannot hold back than to say social media has bloggers who are intellectuals, capable, honest, sincere, bold and are truly concerned and patriotic for the mother land. There are bloggers who are well versed not just locally but globally and are only reflecting in words the deeds of the system. If the youths who are dependent on parents with no business opportunity available owing to lack of capital investment and market space in the markets of our own land, may there be some positive change of opening more such opportunities of self employment for the so many Educated Unemployed Youths. If there are youths who are staying at home refusing to enter the Government Departments through backdoor appointment wasting their parents’ money to buy jobs despite spending so much money since Class A to obtain proper Education till the end, kindly make a positive change and make the youths busy by making the vacancies open for open competitive examinations alone where they will compete based on their capabilities. If such positive changes are made then perhaps, the youths will not write negatively about the system but will be busy preparing for competitive examinations.
You See! The problems are many and the grievances borne beyond pain. Even social media and print media are serving no purpose for the youths to pour out their heart now to demand for change. An open debate in a public platform inviting all the citizens may also be good now .
Clean Election is like the Gospel in itself. The concept is so good and filled with blessing but many may not accept the Gospel and may still practise Dirty Election next year. As for me, I will practise the virtue of Clean Election so, for those like-minded many of us the need of the hour is Good Candidates otherwise, there is a cloud of fear that our votes may go in waste as NOTA . It will not be a lie also if the youths may even come up saying ‘Please do not contest in thenext election’ to many of the legislators as your capability to lead is not justified and is unwanted in the next tenure also.
May God grant us wisdom and the unity that will Save Nagaland for a better future .
