
Participants and speakers at the entrepreneurship
development programme held at the Integrated Business Hub and Innovation
Centre, Dimapur.

Connect Kendras (SCKs), Dimapur, in collaboration with the district
administration, Dimapur, organised a three-day entrepreneurship development
programme from February 25 to the 27th at the Integrated Business Hub and
Innovation Centre, Dimapur.
- According to an update, on the inaugural day, Puloto KV
Sumi, inspector at the District Industries Centre (DIC), was the resource
person and highlighted the various schemes available under DIC to support
entrepreneurs and businesses in both urban and rural areas.
- He emphasised that 70% of the unorganised sector in the
state is targeted for support through various schemes.
- The second day featured Imtitoshi Imsong, deputy manager at
Agri and MSME Credit Centre, as the resource person. He spoke on financial literacy,
loans, and schemes, stressing the significance of loans in business growth and
the advantages of multi-option savings accounts.
- He pointed out that while loans offer substantial benefits,
one of the key challenges faced by the Naga community is loan default,
particularly with small amounts, which hampers access to larger loan
opportunities.
- The final day featured multiple speakers, including
Gurumayum Ramkumar Sharma, assistant manager at the Small Industries
Development Bank of India, Dimapur; Tolen, trainer at Unnati Skills Training
Centre; Nikaholi Sumi, facilitator at the Intellectual Property Facilitation
Centre (IPFC); and Vekulu Demo, centre manager at SCK Dimapur.
- Each speaker highlighted their respective organisations'
roles in fostering entrepreneurship and promoting business growth in the state.
